Helping the birds in winter...

Lesson: Learning Outside the Classroom

Tonight Eco / Science club made bird feeders to help not only the birds around school but also other wildlife survive the cold weather ahead. To make the feeders we used yoghurt pots, string, and twigs - environmentally friendly pots. To make the bird food we used bird seed and lard, mixing them together in a large bowl and then adding the feed around the string, in the yoghurt pot. We have now placed them into the fridge to set, ready to hang out next week!
