Extra Curricular

At Adlington St Paul's CE Primary School, we have many exciting extra-curricular clubs available to our children promoting a love for the academic, physical, creative, spiritual and cultural mind.

 

If you would like to book a place for your child on any of the below clubs, please speak to a member of the school office. Clubs are reviewed and changed half termly.

Ethos Club

Our Ethos Club is hosted by Mrs Halsall. These children have the opportunity to plan and lead worships in school as well as half termly Sunday Family services in St Paul's. This club is open to Year 5 and Year 6 pupils.

Eco Committee 

Our Eco Committee help create an awareness for the world God has created and how we can help keep this world a happy and healthy place. This club is run by Mrs Dearden and Mrs Crosier.

SkillWise all year round

Skillwise are an outside agency that run lunchtime clubs for the whole school every week to promote positive, active lunchtimes.

KS1 Coding Club Autumn Term

Our coding club is open to year 1 and year 2 building and developing on their coding skills learnt during our computing curriculum. Led by Mr Findlow. 

Football Autumn Term

Our football club is open to Year 5/6 children and is run by Mr Nolan. This club gives the children opportunities to develop their football skills and fitness and they also have the opportunity to take part in football matches with other schools.

Sewing Club  Autumn Term

Our sewing club is led by Mrs Chidgey and Miss Smith for year 3/4.

Netball Club Autumn Term

Our netball club is for year 3/4 and  run by Miss Taylor. 

Art Club Autumn Term

We have two art clubs, year 5/6 run by Mrs Halsall and year 1/2 run by Miss Hyatt. 

Music Lessons

There are a range of music lessons on offer for the children. We currently have violin, guitar, piano and keyboard lessons for both KS1 and KS2. Please enquire at the office if your child is interested.

Young Voices  Autumn Term 2 

Our Young Voices club is run by Mrs Halsall. This club will begin after October half term in preparation for the Young Voices Concert. The children last attended the Young Voices Concert at the MEN Arena, Manchester, on Friday 31st January 2020. Photographs can be found below.

Booster and Quiz Clubs

We also hold booster and quiz clubs for year 6 and year 2 in preparation for their statutory assessments. These will begin later in the year.
