Chaplains

Chaplains at Adlington St Paul’s play an important role in supporting the spiritual life of our school. In Years 5 and 6, pupils are invited to apply to become chaplains, taking on a special role of service, leadership and faith within our school community. Our chaplains help to support other pupils on their spiritual journey, encouraging reflection, prayer and thoughtful engagement with our Christian vision and values.

As part of their role, chaplains help to plan and lead acts of collective worship both in school and in church. They also play an active part in our church services, helping to strengthen the close relationship between school, church and community. Each Friday, our chaplains work from Our Spiritual Home (O.S.H), where they plan and lead activities designed to engage and support pupils in their spiritual development. Through this role, chaplains are given the opportunity to grow as courageous and compassionate leaders, helping others to explore faith, ask big questions and flourish as part of God’s family
