Enrichment
A school that encourages children to try their best, excel and succeed in all they do whilst enjoying school life. Parent Voice 2024
At Adlington St Paul's CE Primary School, we have many exciting extra-curricular clubs available to our children promoting a love for the academic, physical, creative, spiritual and cultural mind.
We ensure a wide, rich set of experiences that are planned coherently to nurture, develop and stretch pupil's talents and interests.
Clubs are reviewed and changed half termly and/or termly. Parents/carers are able to book their children onto the extra-curricular clubs via the school office.
Clubs that are on offer this term include: Netball, Mindfulness, Darts, Young Governors, Choir, Games and Eco-Club. These are often inspired by our children.
Music Lessons
There are a range of music lessons on offer for the children. Please enquire at the office if your child is interested. This is an external agency and provided by Lancashire Music Service. https://www.lancashiremusichub.co.uk/site/
In addition to this, our year 4 children have Ukelele lessons as part of their music curriculum, this is on a Tuesday at 11am.
Community Based Enrichment
At Adlington St Paul's we want our children to have a love and appreciation of their local communtiy and truly feel like they belong. We have a breakfast bar which is run in partnership with Adlington Food Bank, golf sessions run by Duxbury Golf Club, crown green bowling at St Paul's Parish Club and we care and maintain a local garden.
Trips and Experiances
We want to broaden our children's experiances beyond the classroom and provide many exciting trips for our pupils. Ecah child will attend a class trip each term focused around their curriculum area. We then offer two whole school trips each year. This year's trips are to the cinema, the theatre and Bewilderwood. We offer a residential in Y4 to the Anderton Centre for a one-night stay with outdoor activites. Y5 travel to London where we see a live show and take a tour of parliment including an over-night stay. our Y6 pupils join the Trust for their end of year Residential to PGL for 3 days of thrills!
