Why should we use soap?

Lesson: Science

Class: Year 2 Year: 2022 - 2023

This afternoon we have carried out a simple test. Would oil wash from our hands best with cold water, warm water or soap and warm water? We predicted which we thought and why. So we all put oil on our hands and tested how was best to wash it off. Cold water did nothing but make the oil feel more sticky, warm water helped to start making the oil disappear but soap was like magic, it cleaned the oil from our hands!
