I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of St Paul’s CE School for the remainder of the school academic year 2018/2019.
I am delighted to be joining this school and the community and I look forward to working with all of you, and continue to develop this lovely school as it grows from strength to strength and provide a safe, happy and secure environment for our children.
During the spring and summer terms 2019, I will be working in school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday each week and Mrs. Newman (Associate Head) will be in school on Thursday and Friday.
During my career I have taught in five schools, including being the Headteacher of two local schools.
I have spent a number of weeks getting to know St Paul’s, working closely with Mrs. Barron (Acting Headteacher) and Mrs. Kneale (Executive Headteacher), allowing me to understand my initial areas of focus. I will share all progress updates with you during my time at St Paul’s.
My first priority will be to get to know the children, understanding their individual needs, support the staff to deliver an engaging and innovative curriculum, and provide an exceptional and supportive learning environment, enabling each child to achieve their best.
I would like to thank Mrs. Barron for all her work in the autumn term and particularly for her thorough handover during the latter part of the autumn term.
From Monday, 14th January 2019, the school weekly newsletter will be sent home on Monday evening at the end of the school day and will also be published on the website.
I look forward to meeting you all soon.
Mrs Julie Charnley
