Investigating our Sense of Touch

Today we carried out a variety of activities to test whether we needed our sense of touch and we talked about needing other senses to make the activities easier.

Activity 1: testing size - we used our touch but thought we needed our sight to help also.

Activity 2: testing texture - we used our sense of touch most for this.

Activity 3: testing temperature - we used our sense of touch most for this.

Activity 4: testing mass - we used our touch but thought we needed our sight to help also as we could see how much water was in each bottle.

Activity 5: testing amount - we used our sense of touch most for this but also decided we needed our sight to help.

Activity 6: testing length - we used our sense of touch most for this but also decided we needed our sight to help.

Activity 7: testing colour - we needed our sight for this as our touch doesn't tell us the colour of an object.

Challenge - testing shape - we needed our sense of touch for this but it was very hard and using our sight would help.
