Lesson: PSHE and citizenship

Class: Year 4 Year: 2022 - 2023

This week is Anti-Bullying Week and the theme this year is - Reach Out. We discussed what bullying is and where bullying takes place - face-face and online. We talked about the roles involved in bullying - traget, defender, outsider, ringleader, asistant and reinforcer. We then listen to a face-face scenario and online scenario of bullying. We placed the different roles to each scenario. We then discussed reaching out - how and who to. We thought of passing a smile, talking to our friends, talking to the bully to exlpain how they are making someone feel, involving someone to join in or offering help. We then talked about respecting each others differences and treating others the way we want to be treated ourselves. We have created some artwork - 'we are all different but together we make a masterpiece'.
